I have to disagree with you regarding the MK3 - for me , there's nothing to embrace at all. It's modern, it lacks the vintage appeal and it's generally made of shoddy components in the Far East. My interest in the Raleigh Chopper is from a retro angle - desperately wanting one as a boy - eventually getting a second-hand one, and having the time of my life on it - back in the days when we used to have some form of genuine summer ! Raleigh Choppers are a symbol of a time now gone - and it's great to hold on to a genuine piece from that era. For me,that means chrome , steel tubing and R nuts ! I have no fondness whatsoever for alloy, separate seat and backrest , twist grip gears and Beano graphics. Golden memories for me - riding a golden yellow MK1 on a warm summer's evening without a care in the world . Attachments:

Hello from Liverpool - anyone else on this site from Merseyside ? An enthusiast of original paintwork, chrome- and all things vintage Chopper. I have no interest whatsoever in........ the Mark 3 Chopper , The Upside Down Chopper Framed Bike and hemmorhoids - which all all pretty much the same thing !
