Was thinking about the colour we have over 800 colours in stock for powder coating. But every one I talk to says to spray the frame not powder coat it.

Paint if your doing a restoration/show bike thing. But if it's a custom/rider go with powder... easier and I bet alot cheaper too

Hi I'm new to the forum. I had a mk11 chopper new in 1972,my dad put down 11.50p I then paid off the rest at .1.50p a week with my paper round money, the total cost was 31.50p the payments were increased with birthday money. I loved that bike, one night some low life broke into our coal house and knicked my beloved. I always wanted another but never had the brass. On a midlife wimper I have just bought a 72 to restore. A few years ago I used to restore classic cars as a hobby but work and lack of time meant I couldn't justify the spare minutes in the garage. I'm looking to do a full nut and bolt restoration, but undecided as to original or something different like biege with tan seat,or gunmetal grey with strawberry seat. We will see, Aiming for a steady paced restoration.

This forum is great. I'm inspired to get down the shed and get my 2 Mk2's rebuilt and back on the road after a short break of 18 years? Attachments:

Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I started collecting Choppers back in 1991, when you could rescue a MkII from someone's shed for around £30. Oh, how times have changed. I had around six or seven at one point, but am down to four now (A Horizon Blue MkI, a black MkII, a purple MkIII and the new limited edition black and gold model), plus a spare MkII frame and a few other parts that I intend to use to build a full bike.

I think you'll find that the chopper is harder to work on than the lammy and vespa :-D
