Hello,I’m going to buy a Raleigh chopper,I had one as a kid,but I chopped the long seat off and put a normal standard bike seat on,took the front forks out put some more in and put a front wheel in that was bigger than the back, then put cow horn handlebars on it,thought it was a cool thing to do back then 😂😂... but now I’ve hit 51 and I’ve decided to buy a refurb project and crack into it,a trip down memory lane is what it’s all about,it has to be red tho,to me choppers are red lol, what should I be looking at paying for one, either a mark 1 or 2 I’d be happy with, any advice would be great,it’s been years since I’ve had the bike spanner’s out,I’m looking foreward to it😀

Welcome to the Forum ! I’m also a relative noob on here, started my chopper project for the same reasons, primarily a trip down memory lane. If I can give one bit of advice it would be to try and find as complete a bike as you can , and not start from a frame like I did. I’ve had to purchas two other Raleigh “donor “ bikes and put over $1000 ( Canadian dollars ) into my build so far and I am close but still looking for some htf parts. Getting stuff shipped from Europe / Asia to Canada is expensive. As for price , best you look at eBay “sold “ listings for back history. Good luck !
