I am looking for some knowledge regarding the tires for the Raleigh Chopper. How can I tell an original front and rear tire from the new ones currently available? I have a front with the painted red line and the made in Holland cast onto the rubber. I also have a rear knobby with the redline cast into the rubber and instead of the made in Holland, it says just, foreign on it. Can anyone help me! I have looked all over the net and it seems this subject is never discussed.

Ok, Holland are deffo originals, there's two style foreign tires, the first style will have the red line in the same position as a Holland, and will also feel like the same rubber, whereas the 'modern foriegn' has a different style redline! And is a totally different compound!

Thank you JakeB. The made in Holland front tire means that it is original. I get that, but I am still a little confused about the rears. Did the rear knobby ever have the made in Holland on it also? And the two foreign marked ones you describe, are they considered Repo's . sorry to be a pain. Also, are original NOS tires rare enough to command a premium? Thanks.

Original with the non italic Raleigh are the early 70 ones
