evening all. located in south wales.
picked up 2 mk3s on the weekend had looked out for mk1s / 2s but proved too expensive as most of my money goes into restoring my mk1 golf both very rusty and one is a lot worse than the other. will get pics up but they were red and chrome, now more a faded pink and rust! spent a few hours removing the rust and also removing the decals so far. intention is to paint the frame yellow, chain guard and all previous chrome parts gloss black and get some new black decals. will probably tidy the other one up a little and try and flip it on.
cheers

Hello all, just joined the forum as I'm recommissioning my yellow mk2 and will have some questions to pose in the appropriate places if I can't find previous posts about them elsewhere!
Seems like a friendly place, all the best,
Mike

Hi guys. Thanks to Andy, slightly40, for introducing me to this forum. And for taking a selection of my bicycles to the first Billing Chopper meeting I've attended. I must say it was a fabulous day. It was good to meet a number of collectors and dealers. The icing on the cake for me was winning best Mk3 with my promotional can prize Tango soft drink Raleigh Chopper (one of only six produced). Bought some much needed spares and a fabulous American import Mk3 Chopper. Still need a few more bits and pieces and once I get my head round the site, i'll start posting. First question, can anyone tell me how to post an avatar (using photobucket?) Thanks one and all for a good day. Really enjoyed it. Cheers Vaughan (sierra1)

Hello everybody. My name is Noel and I reside in St Petersburg Florida. I just acquired a 1970 MKI 3x2 chopper, orange in color, to add to my collection of muscle bikes. It needs restoring but that's what I do. I have a used bicycle, restoration, repair business called iride. Thanks for having me here at The Hot One.

Hello everybody, just joined , I'm a 59 year old chopper owner, back into it after 40 years ! I've a 1976 SE original but I've added some "mods" ......fitted Mk1 handlebars ( I prefer the rake and look ) and Mk1 pedals, just my personal preference hopefully , fingers and everything else crossed, I hope to get hold of a 1969 tall frame shortly , wants a little "tlc" but nothing detrimental, I'll upload some pics o my SE shortly, ( my pics are to big for the forum ? ) need to sort this out, anyway hope to here from you out there cheers Mike.
