Hi, a newbie here.
Please could someone help with my fading memory.
In my early years I had a Horizon Blue Chopper with White Markings. From some digging around it seems that this is a x-over colour. This appears correct in my mind as it had the Mk1 gear knob with the Mk2 Sissy bar, fixed stem handlebars etc. But I also remember it having a Rear Rack (which I believe was fitted to a Mk2 frame).
All the pictures I've seen so far show the blue x-over with a Mk1 frame & no rack.
Can anyone confirm if a x-over was available with the mk2 frame in horizon blue as I think I remember it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers.

Hello,
The only horizon blue mk2 we've seen has yellow stickers,
But it could be a possibility that Raleigh put racks on the very last mk1s

Thanks for that Jake.
Ok so my memory is worse than I thought.
It was definitely Horizon Blue, colour of stickers now in doubt.
I'm certain it had the round gear knob, was that possible on the mk2 frame?
Cheers,
Jose

Hi mate
Big question, did you have the bike from new ? its possible your bike could of had the ultra rare chopper rear rack, made for the mark 1s, as if you had it second hand the previous owner could of fitted it.

Yeah I had it from new.
The reason I ask is that I'm thinking of doing a re-build and would like to get as close to the model I actually had. You know, nostalgia and all that....
I'm sure it was basically a mk2 in blue with white stickers but with the black round gear knob.
I'm positive about things like the newer seat, squared off sissy bar, fixed handlebars. It's just the other details that my memory fails me with.
I suppose I'll just need to find some of my old photos from somewhere.
Thanks again for your help guys.
Cheers,
Jose.
